Launching America's Future Majority Fund

Today, a collection of next generation leaders from across the country announced the formation of America’s Future Majority Fund, a political organization committed to electing emerging leaders in state and localities across the country. With the stated aim of Mobilizing Progressive Power, AFMF and its community will train and provide direct support to new leadership who seek to re-build progressive power at all levels of government.

Through its New Leaders Training Academy for those considering runs for state and local office, and through direct consultation and support of those running for office, AFMF will empower and elect the new progressive bench. Through its work, AFMF will work with new candidates from first consideration to election night victories and beyond.

AFMF has identified over eight hundred (800) progressives who have committed to run for office at the state and local level, in nearly every state. This cohort is only the first generation; AFMF will work with its coalition organizations to identify new talent and provide them the training, resources, and support necessary to win.

America’s Future Majority Fund will launch formal operations in March and work with potential candidates heading into the 2017 election cycle.
